Targeted Transformation
Meeting the Moment
In a decisive moment, Clutch quickly guided diverse organizations to coalesce around a strategy for collective impact: house 3,000 people experiencing homelessness in 3 years.
In just two years, Austin reversed its local homelessness policy after a citizen-led ballot reinstated a ban on sleeping outside. Unsheltered homelessness surged during Covid-19, and despite efforts to reduce it, the community’s initiatives were scattered and uncoordinated. While leaders and service providers wanted to collaborate, they lacked a shared vision. Incorporating system flow and financial modeling exercises, Clutch aligned stakeholders around an ambitious yet achievable collective impact goal.
